Search intent crosses the Columbia even when the state line does not

People searching from Portland, Hood River or the Oregon side often mean “hot springs reachable during a Gorge trip,” not necessarily a spring physically in Oregon. Carson Hot Springs Resort, Tenzen Springs & Cabins and Bonneville Hot Springs Resort are all on the Washington side. They also represent three different products: historic bathhouse and spa, private geothermal cabin tubs, and a reopened resort and spa.

The reviewed sources did not establish a public natural soaking spring on the Oregon bank of the Gorge. Rather than fill the list with ordinary hotel hot tubs, beaches or unverified map names, the guide says so.
